P Waddington, part of the JG Pears Group, is looking to recruit an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team at our Bradford facility. This is a hands on, factory-based role working primarily with aluminium using MIG welding techniques, alongside fabrication and welding work with steel where required.

We are seeking a skilled individual who takes pride in producing high quality work and can contribute to maintaining efficient and safe workshop operations.

Location: Bradford, BD3 9LP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (40hrs per week)
Start Date: Immediate start available

Responsibilities

As a Welder Fabricator, your responsibilities will include:

  • MIG welding, primarily with aluminium, ensuring high quality and precision
  • Fabricating components and assemblies from technical drawings and specifications
  • Working with both aluminium and steel materials as required
  • Measuring, cutting and preparing materials prior to fabrication
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  • Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets required quality standards
  • Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production targets are met

Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A time served apprenticeship in welding, fabrication or a related engineering discipline
  • Strong MIG welding experience, particularly with aluminium
  • Experience working with steel fabrication and welding processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • A proactive approach to safety and quality
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a busy workshop environment
