Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for metalwork and mechanical processes to contribute to high-quality projects in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and / or TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components
- Fabricate metal parts according to technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG or TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as shears, grinders, drills, and saws
- Knowledge of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately
- Mechanical knowledge combined with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience in assembly processes related to metal fabrication projects
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality assurance
