Overview

AtkinsRéalis: your next mission starts here

You've led teams under pressure, delivered complex operations and taken responsibility when it mattered most. Now it's time to apply those skills to work that protects people, strengthens national capability and shapes the future of the UK.

AtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization, delivering some of the country's most critical and complex programmes; helping to build a safer, more secure and more sustainable world.

As a proud Armed Forces Covenant signatory, we recognise the value of military experience. We actively support Service leavers, Veterans, Reservists, Cadet Force adult volunteers and military families as they transition into rewarding civilian careers.

You'll be joining a strong and growing Armed Forces Community already making a real impact across our business.

Your role

Where you could make an impact

We're building a dedicated talent pipeline for military professionals and welcome applications from across all Services and ranks. Opportunities span a wide range of roles, including:

  • Project, programme, portfolio and project controls management.
  • Management consulting and change management.
  • Cyber & security consulting.
  • Systems integration and business analysis.
  • Infrastructure engineering.
  • Safety (including HS&W), risk and asset management engineering.
  • Mechanical, electrical & systems engineering.
  • Your work could support nationally significant programmes across nuclear, defence, security, infrastructure, transport and aerospace - projects where precision, accountability and leadership truly matter.

What you'll be doing

Depending on your role, you'll:

  • Work within multi‑disciplinary teams on major client programmes.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and government stakeholders.
  • Help ensure the safe, secure and compliant delivery of critical national infrastructure.
  • Support and mentor others from the Armed Forces community as they transition into civilian roles.
  • This is meaningful work, with real responsibility and visible impact.

About you

You don't need a "perfect" civilian CV. We're interested in your experience, mindset and potential.

You're likely to bring:

  • Proven leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving under pressure.
  • Experience in engineering, project delivery, safety, risk, assurance or commissioning.
  • Strong planning, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to professionalism, standards and teamwork.
  • Your military skillset is not just recognised here; it's genuinely valued.

Rewards & benefits

When you join us, you'll benefit from:

  • A competitive pay and rewards package, hybrid working, flexible leave and structured professional development.
  • A thriving Armed Forces network recognised as a Top 50 Great British Employer of Veterans.
  • 10 additional days' leave for Reservists and cadet force adult volunteers (as we are an MOD ERS Gold Award employer).
  • Resettlement work placements for those exploring their next steps.
  • An inclusive culture recognised through the Pride in Veterans Standard.
