What You Will Be Doing: (Duties & Responsibilities)

To support the client and the Security Manager to provide visible leadership and management to the SecuriGroup team. Work in a team of 2 Supervisors to manage all incidents proactively and reactively across the Selfridges store.

REACTIVE:

1. Constant communication and response to direction of Selfridges Security Operations Centre

2. Attend and take personal charge of security response to incidents

3. Provide direction to staff members dealing with incidents

4. Ensure quality verbal and written update reports in line with Selfridges and SecuriGroup requirements.

5. Respond efficiently to additional resource requests

PROACTIVE:

1. Be a professional member of a mutually supporting SecuriGroup duty team including duty cover and effective communication and handover.

2. Ensure the overall safety and security of the premises and all of customers, staff, and contractors.

3. Support Selfridges Divisional Managers/Duty store lead at all times.

4. Always maintain access control

5. Lead effective compilation and delivery of briefing of security personnel

6. Be a visible proactive presence ‘on the shop floor’ confirming deployment and knowledge of duties.

7. Ensure effective opening and closing procedures including key management.

8. Ensure high standards of uniform and grooming and security license compliance

9. Oversee break management

10. Support and implement planning for Selfridges events and external challenges such as demonstrations or threats of serious criminal activity.

11. Actively promote health and safety including fire safety and COVID-19 mitigation compliance and engage effectively in exercising and testing.

12. Support effective operational induction of recruits and provide on-going mentoring and support to all staff

SUPPORT:

1. Support the Security Manager in discharge of processes including: -

Appraisals

Complaints and Grievances

Lateness

Leave

Investigations and Discipline

Radio management

Rostering

Training

Uniform and PPE

2. Attend client and SecuriGroup meetings when scheduled.

3. To carry out any other reasonable tasks or duties as requested by management.

This is not an exhaustive list of duties. The duties may change from time to time in line with the needs of the business and will be discussed between the Security Manager and the post holder.

What We Need from You:

· SIA Door Supervisor License(essential)

· SIA CCTV license(essential)

· Minimum 2 years of experience in Security Supervisor/Management position

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Ability to work under pressure

· Being confident in leading large team of security officers
