Full job description

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our team at Ferndene Care Home.

At Ferndene Care Home, based in Gainsborough, we provide care and nursing support to older adults and people living with dementia. If you are a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people, we would love to hear from you.

Position Details

  • Two opportunities are available, one for days and one to work night shifts
  • Hours: 3 days per week or 4 nights
  • Shift times: 07:45-20:00 Days - 19:45-08:00 Nights
  • Rate of pay: Up to £21.50 per hour, paid breaks
  • Schedule: Rota basis including weekends and bank holidays
  • Sponsorship: We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Care planning: Formulating, reviewing and updating person-centred care plans to reflect residents’ needs, in consultation with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals, in line with NMC guidelines and company policies.
  • Medication administration: Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with company procedures and NMC guidelines.
  • Monitoring resident wellbeing: Identify and report any ill health amongst residents and arrange GP or professional visits where required.
  • Leadership and supervision: When acting as Nurse in Charge, supervise the care team and ensure clear and concise handovers at the end of each shift.
  • Multidisciplinary working: Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
