Full-Time | Salaried Position
Moody’s Hagley is looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our team and help drive the next stage of our growth.
We’re already well known for our great food, speciality coffee, craft beer, cocktails, and welcoming neighbourhood atmosphere. With exciting plans including a new evening menu, regular events, and an expanded outdoor garden area, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact and help shape the future of the business.
What we're looking for:
- Proven management experience in a busy café, restaurant, bar, or similar fast-paced hospitality environment
- Confident leading both customer-facing operations and staff management
- Strong team leadership skills with experience recruiting, training and developing front-of-house teams
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships between floor and kitchen teams
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to take full ownership of service
- Confident managing reservations, customer enquiries and day-to-day administration using booking and hospitality systems
- A natural host who enjoys engaging with customers and creating exceptional guest experiences
- Confident behind the bar and able to jump in wherever needed during busy services, leading by example and supporting the wider team
- Positive, can-do attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Ability to maintain high standards while creating a fun, supportive and professional working environment
- A passion for quality coffee and confidence using a manual espresso machine, with the ability to support and develop team members in coffee preparation and service
The role:
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, strong team performance and smooth operational delivery. You'll lead from the front, supporting service on the floor, managing reservations and customer enquiries, overseeing staffing, training and development, and ensuring excellent communication between all areas of the business.
You'll work closely with ownership to build on Moody's excellent reputation for great food, speciality coffee, craft beer and cocktails while helping shape the next phase of growth. With a new evening menu, expanded outdoor garden area and a growing events programme, this role offers the opportunity to have genuine input into future menus, drinks, events and the overall direction of the business.

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Stourbridge DY9 0NW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
