Business Support Officer
Contract: 6 Months - Temporary
Location of post: Various throughout Neath Port Talbot including Morriston Hospital
Hours: 37 Full Time
Working Style: Your workstyle will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role which gives you the flexibility to work from home and from a variety of Council workplaces.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Business Support Officer.
As a Business Support Officer, you must have the ability to type, work as part of a Team, and have a flexible and committed approach to assist in providing clerical & administrative support. An ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, service users and members of the public is essential. You must also be prepared to undertake in-house or external training/qualifications in regards to the role.
Your daily routine will
- Assist in the answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries.
- Liaising with other members of staff and the public
- Assist in the provision of routine clerical support including photocopying, scanning, e-mailing, complete routine forms and telephony duties.
- Assist in the maintenance of manual and computerised records/management information systems and process information in accordance with defined procedures and standard.
- Assist in the sorting and distribute of mail.
- Undertake routine administration in support of the functions of the SSHH Department.
About you:
- Applicants will need a reasonable standard of education to GCSE (or equivalent) grades C and above.
- The successful applicant will be expected to work towards an NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Business Administration if you do not hold one already.
- Access to suitable transport i.e. driving licence/car is essential. Being able to effectively travel to locations for an 8/8.30am start is essential in getting to the positions.
