Full job description

Getting a mortgage should feel simple, not stressful. That's why we built Habito by Monzo.

We combine smart technology with expert mortgage advisers to help people find the right mortgage, faster. It's personalised, straightforward, and completely free. Check out our protection guide and mortgage calculator.

And we're not stopping there. We're rethinking what buying a home can look like, building products and experiences that make every step easier. If you join us, you'll help shape what's next

We're not actively hiring for this specific role today, but we are proactively building our talent network for opportunities in the near future. Submit your application for review, and we'll be in touch to discuss next steps.

At Habito, we're transforming mortgages: making them faster and simpler for customers.

Our Mortgage Experts (that's what we call our brokers) are at the heart of everything we do: finding customers the right mortgage, and giving them friendly advice and support the whole way.

We're developing a new breed of brokers, fast-paced, interacting via online live chat, creating an empowering & rewarding environment. All of the manual processes that take you away from your customers are removed or automated & we've only just started. Want to be part of this amazing journey & help influence the brokerage of tomorrow? Then you may be for us…..

More about what you'll do:

  • Creating a best in class advice service for all customers - you will do this by assessing customers applications and issuing high-quality recommendations efficiently keeping your customer fully informed throughout the process
  • Providing a 5-star customer experience throughout all interactions putting the customer first & empathising with purpose.
  • Delivering a high-quality level of communication via online live chat
  • Managing an ongoing pipeline of applications proactively, efficiently & effectively.
  • Working closely with direct Ops colleagues and the wider Habito group to deliver the best results for the customer
  • Adhering to quality & compliance standards

You'll need to be:

  • CeMap qualified with +1 year of experience*
  • Whole of market OR multiple lender experience.
  • Organised & able to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and happy to work shifts to maintain an excellent customer experience involving evening and weekends.
  • The years of experience is a guide and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience, provided the requisite skills can be demonstrated.

The application journey has just 2 key steps

1. Submit your CV and create your application
2. Attend an online assessment, an interactive opportunity for you to meet the team, learn more about life at Habito, and showcase your skills through a short criteria test, team speed interviews, and a practical customer role play through live chat.

The benefits

  • Basic salary of £46,250 + commission
  • Remote-first working
  • Flexible holiday - 25 days holiday and more if you need it! (this is team dependent)
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity leave - for when you plan to start a family
  • Life assurance - 4 x your annual salary
  • Contributory pension scheme - We have an ethical pension fund, but you can decide where you put your money
  • International remote working for up to 20 days a year
  • Volunteering - 2 days paid volunteering each year for charity of your choice
