Full job description

Want to enjoy conveyancing again?

JCC Legal is a growing specialist conveyancing firm, and we're looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our team.

We're interested in speaking to Solicitors, Licensed Conveyancers and CILEx lawyers, but qualification isn't everything to us.

If you have at least five years' solid residential conveyancing experience, can confidently manage your own caseload and know how to keep a transaction moving, we'd like to hear from you.

What matters to us is experience, judgement, communication and the ability to provide clients with a genuinely good service.

A different kind of conveyancing firm

We don't believe good conveyancers should spend their working lives buried under unmanageable caseloads, constantly firefighting and apologising to clients.

JCC Legal has been built around a different approach.

We are a specialist conveyancing firm focused on quality, communication and giving experienced conveyancers the freedom to do their job properly.

You'll have ownership of your matters, direct relationships with your clients and the autonomy to make decisions rather than feeling like one small part of a conveyancing factory.

And because we're growing, you'll be joining a business where experienced people have the opportunity to influence how we develop.

The role

You'll manage a residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, including sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold transactions, mortgages and transfers of equity.

You'll be expected to take responsibility for your files, communicate confidently with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors, and proactively move transactions forward.

We're not looking for someone who simply processes files.

We're looking for someone who understands conveyancing, can identify problems, find solutions and knows how important good communication is to the client experience.

Who we're looking for

You'll ideally be a:

Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEx Lawyer

However, we are equally interested in hearing from experienced conveyancers who are qualified by experience and have a strong track record of managing their own residential caseload.

You should have:

  • At least 5 years' residential conveyancing experience
  • Experience managing your own caseload from instruction to completion
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential property transactions
  • Excellent client communication skills
  • The confidence to speak directly with clients, estate agents and other professionals
  • A proactive approach to progressing transactions
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment

What we offer

£45,000–£60,000 basic salary depending on experience and qualification

Bonus potential

Fully remote working

Flexibility and autonomy

A supportive specialist conveyancing environment

Manageable caseloads with an emphasis on service rather than volume

The opportunity to grow with an ambitious and expanding firm

Most importantly, you'll be trusted to do the job you've spent years learning how to do.

About JCC Legal

JCC Legal is a modern specialist conveyancing firm built around a simple idea: property transactions work better when experienced conveyancers have the time, autonomy and support to provide a genuinely personal service.

We're growing, but we don't want to become another volume conveyancing operation.

We want to build a firm where clients can speak directly to the person dealing with their transaction and where good conveyancers can build a career without sacrificing their work-life balance.

Our approach is simple:

Experienced people. Sensible caseloads. Clear communication. Great client service.

If that sounds like the kind of firm you'd like to be part of, we'd love to hear from you.

UK based applicants only please.

Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Conveyancing : 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Practising Certificate (preferred)

Work Location: Remote
