Job Title: MOT Tester

Job Summary:
We are looking for a mechanic with an MOT certificate, and is able to work on all types of vehicles, and can operate diagnostic equipment.

We belong to the RMI academy for Automotive skills, and can offer training in certain circumstances through them.

We are looking for a person with at least 5 years in the motor trade and is able to work on their own initiative.

We are open to apprentice applications the person who want to learn.

Duties:

- Perform MOT tests on a variety of vehicles according to DVSA standards

- Identify and report any defects or issues that may affect the vehicle's safety

- Diagnosing vehicle faults manually or with the aid of software and digital tools

- Repairing and replacing faulty vehicle parts

- Test drives to check repair

- File appropriate documentation on each repai-

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting

- Certification as an MOT Tester preferred but not required

Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools in a workshop setting
