Workshop Manager

Location: Glenrothes, Scotland
Salary: £52,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday (Days)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

My client, a well-established and respected company within the PSV Sector, is on the lookout for a reliable and forward-thinking Workshop Manager. This is a key leadership role based in Glenrothes — Ideal for someone who values consistent workload, autonomy, and long-term growth within a stable business.

What you’ll be doing in your new Workshop Manager role:

  • Leading and supporting a dedicated team of workshop technicians
  • Looking after a team of 20
  • Managing a fleet of 70 buses
  • Creating structure, stability and clear direction for day-to-day operations
  • Monitoring service quality, safety compliance, and productivity
  • Working closely with service advisors and other departments
  • Tracking KPIs and contributing to workshop improvements

The successful Workshop Manager will have:

  • Previous experience managing a workshop or working in a supervisory role
  • A qualified technical background (essential)
  • Ideally gave experience within the Bus & Coach sector or HGV Sector
  • Solid communication and people management skills
  • Ability to lead by example and drive positive change
  • Good understanding of workshop reporting and performance standards
