Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our friendly and fast-paced multi-franchise team.

What We Offer

  • Basic salary starting from £33,000 depending on experience
  • Realistic OTE up to £43,000
  • £1,500 guaranteed bonus for your first 3 months

  • MOT Tester training provided if required
  • 29 days holiday, increasing with length of service

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Saturday rota until 12:30pm (paid at overtime rate and not included in basic salary)

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician at SG Petch, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service and workmanship across a variety of vehicle brands.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a high standard
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
  • Repairing and replacing defective components
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and road testing
  • Completing all work accurately and efficiently
  • Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring tools remain in excellent condition
  • Following DVSA and manufacturer procedures and standards

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for someone who is:

  • Holds a Level 2 / 3 NVQ, or equivalent, in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification and be able to demonstrate an ability to work on the latest technology.
  • Experienced in vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics
  • Reliable, punctual and highly organised
  • A strong team player with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident using modern diagnostic equipment and software
  • Able to communicate technical information clearly
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality workmanship

MOT Tester qualification is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
