Full job description

Motorcycle Sales Executive – Triumph Motorcycles

Suffolk Triumph | Ipswich
OTE £45,000

Are you a great salesperson who happens to love motorcycles?

We're looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join Suffolk Triumph in Ipswich.

You do not need previous motorcycle or automotive sales experience.

In fact, we're much more interested in how you sell than what you've previously sold.

We're looking for someone with proven sales ability who understands the importance of following up every opportunity, building relationships, managing a pipeline and working consistently towards targets.

We'll teach you our products, systems and processes.

What we can't teach as easily is drive, personality, sales instinct and a genuine enthusiasm for motorcycles.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll manage customers throughout their complete buying journey, from their first enquiry through to motorcycle handover and beyond.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing showroom, telephone and digital sales enquiries
  • Building genuine relationships with customers
  • Understanding customer needs and recommending the right motorcycle
  • Managing every opportunity through our CRM system
  • Proactively following up enquiries and prospecting existing customers
  • Producing personalised video responses and digital presentations
  • Arranging and conducting motorcycle demonstrations
  • Presenting finance options confidently and compliantly
  • Maximising opportunities for accessories, clothing and additional products
  • Managing your own diary, pipeline and follow-up activity
  • Working towards sales, conversion, finance and other performance KPIs
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience from enquiry through to handover

Who We're Looking For

Your previous sales career could have been in almost any industry.

You may currently sell cars, property, furniture, technology, recruitment, home improvements, leisure products or something completely different.

If you've developed strong customer-facing sales skills in a target-driven environment, we'd like to hear from you.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has proven sales ability
  • Enjoys speaking with and understanding customers
  • Is confident asking for the business
  • Proactively follows opportunities rather than waiting for customers to return
  • Is comfortable working towards targets and KPIs
  • Can manage multiple customers and opportunities effectively
  • Is organised and comfortable using CRM systems
  • Is resilient when customers say no
  • Is receptive to coaching and comfortable following established sales processes
  • Wants to continually improve their own performance

And motorcycles?

That's the important bit.

Our customers are passionate about motorcycles and we want our sales team to share that enthusiasm.

You don't need to arrive knowing every specification of every Triumph—we'll provide comprehensive product and manufacturer training.

But you should already ride motorcycles, follow the motorcycle world and genuinely enjoy talking about bikes.

A valid motorcycle licence is essential.

What We Offer

  • OTE £45,000
  • Performance-related earning potential
  • Full Triumph product and manufacturer training
  • Structured sales and systems training
  • The opportunity to represent one of the world's leading motorcycle brands
  • An established customer database and strong digital presence
  • Career development within an established multi-site motorcycle group

This could be an ideal opportunity for a successful salesperson who has always wondered what it would be like to combine their professional sales ability with their passion for motorcycles.

If that sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you.
