Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working within a fast-paced food production environment, ensuring that all products meet strict safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining efficient operations and upholding food safety protocols. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to develop their skills within the food industry.

Duties

  • Operate various production machinery with precision, adhering to operational guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Monitor the production process to ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and products, identifying any issues that may affect quality or safety.
  • Assist in the preparation and assembly of food products, following specified recipes and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area to meet hygiene regulations.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on machinery and report any malfunctions to maintenance teams promptly.
  • Record production data accurately, including quantities produced, machine performance, and quality checks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements and adhering to best practices.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in food production or manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience with industrial equipment is beneficial.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording are required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure product quality and safety standards are maintained.
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required, including potential weekend or evening hours depending on operational needs.
