Commercial Legal Secretary

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Legal Secretary to join a well-established and highly regarded Corporate & Commercial team based in Wimborne.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive Legal Secretary who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional support to both clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Corporate & Commercial team
  • Preparing legal documents, correspondence and reports
  • Audio and digital dictation
  • Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
  • Handling client enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate files and records
  • Prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines
  • Ensuring a high standard of client care at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Experience with digital and audio dictation
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage interruptions effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Confidence using IT systems and learning new processes
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience within a Corporate & Commercial legal environment
  • Experience using a Case Management System
  • Ability to adapt positively to changing priorities and workloads
