We’re looking for a talented musician who can deliver exciting live assemblies to children and confidently engage school leaders and teachers in conversations that lead to long-term partnerships. You’ll be the face of iRock in schools—entertaining pupils, building trust with educators, and driving our mission forward through sales success.

If you’re motivated by performance, hitting targets, and making a real impact in education, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-energy live music assemblies that inspire and excite primary school pupils
  • Present to headteachers and teachers, showcasing the value of iRock’s Rock and Pop band lessons
  • Be the face of iRock, ignite relationships with schools, identifying needs and converting interest into partnerships
  • Manage your own sales pipeline, tracking results and reporting progress in our CRM system
  • Work closely with our office-based sales team to deliver regional and national growth targets
  • Maintain accurate diary, travel plans, and communication records
  • Visit our head office in Farnborough, Hampshire, when required

What We’re Looking For

  • A strong musician who can sing and confidently play 2 out of the following instruments: keyboard, guitar, or drums
  • Confident performer with the ability to engage large groups of children and adults
  • Sales-driven mindset with experience in business development, sales, or target-focused roles
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised with strong diary and administration management
  • Energetic, proactive, and motivated to achieve and exceed sales goals
  • Passionate about music, education, and making a difference to children’s lives
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Flexible approach, extensive travel in the week and occasional overnight stays required

What We Offer

  • Full-time, permanent role working during school hours (Monday–Friday)
  • £27,000 base salary + commission (OTE £31,500+)
  • 11 weeks of paid school holidays each year, plus bank holidays
  • Company car and fuel card for business use
  • Dedicated employee assistant programme
  • Professional development and CPD opportunities throughout the year
  • Regular team events, including our annual company conference
  • Employee recognition and referral schemes

About Us

Founded in 2016 by father-and-son team John and Josh Franklin, iRock School of Music was built on a simple belief: music has the power to unlock confidence, creativity, and potential in every child. What began in a garden shed has grown into an award-winning organisation, recognised for bringing exciting rock and pop band experiences to thousands of children in hundreds of primary schools across the UK.

At iRock, we do more than teach music, we create experiences that leave a lasting impact. Every week, tens of thousands of children take part in our energetic band sessions, developing teamwork, resilience, and self-belief alongside their musical skills.

Our culture is at the heart of everything we do: fun, honest, supportive, and inspiring. We value ownership, innovation, and doing things properly, and we’re proud to be an award-winning team that inspires both the children we teach and the people who work with us.

As a Band Coach, you’ll be at the centre of that mission, helping children discover what they’re capable of and creating moments they’ll remember long after the lesson ends.
