Full job description

We have an opening for a singing tutor at our music academy in Doncaster which will involve 12 months maternity cover - starting from November 2024.

We require a knowledgeable teacher with a modern approach to teaching music who can make sure lessons are fun and that practical skills are a primary focus. A position at our school would suit someone who's enthusiastic about music and their students' progression and would like to benefit from a stable teaching diary.

Applicants must be comfortable teaching adults and children (ages 6+). Must also be able to teach Rock School grades if/when required.

Tutors should have the relevant qualifications and/or experience necessary to provide singing lessons to a high level, including grades up to grade 8, and tutors should be comfortable teaching both adults and children from 6+ to help build a full diary.

Work Schedule

The position is currently to take over four full days of teaching, which are currently 6 hours per day, Monday to Thursday, between 3:30-9:30pm.

For the successful candidate there is also the opportunity to take on Friday as an additional day with your own students, which will then be a permanent ongoing position.

We provide music tutors with the opportunity to build a full teaching diary in a professional environment without the administrative burden associated with coordinating a large amount of students. Every tutor at the academy is over 90% booked with nearly 300 total students visiting the academy each week.
