Full job description

Love music? Enjoy bringing people together? Looking for a role that's rewarding, creative, and full of fun?

We're looking for an enthusiastic and caring Deputy Leader to help run our vibrant weekly music group for adults with learning disabilities.

This is much more than a music session – it's a place where people build confidence, make friends, express themselves, and have a fantastic time through music. As Deputy Leader, you'll play a key role in creating an inclusive, energetic, and welcoming environment where everyone can shine.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Group Leader in delivering engaging and interactive music sessions
  • Encouraging participation through singing, percussion, movement, and creative musical activities
  • Building positive relationships with group members and supporting their individual needs
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and fun atmosphere
  • Assisting with session preparation, set-up, and pack-down
  • Stepping in to support leadership of activities when needed

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has a passion for music and people
  • Is friendly, positive, and enthusiastic
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Has experience supporting adults with learning disabilities (desirable but not essential)
  • Can motivate and encourage others to take part and have fun
  • Is reliable, organised, and approachable

What You'll Get

  • The chance to make a genuine difference in people's lives
  • A fun and supportive team environment
  • Opportunities to develop your skills and experience
  • Lots of laughter, music, and memorable moments

Whether you're an experienced support worker, musician, activity leader, or simply someone who believes in the power of music to bring people together, we'd love to hear from you.

There will be ad hoc performances throughout the year that will require music staff support. These will be paid hours.

Come and help us create a place where everyone has a voice, everyone belongs, and every session ends with a smile.

Apply today and be part of something truly special.

Pay: £13.59 per hour

Work Location: In person
