About Next Play Group

Next Play Group is an events and entertainment group operating across a portfolio of brands, including Dazed Muzic, Dubtendo and Motive 16+. We deliver a diverse programme of large-scale music events and weekly student club nights, connecting audiences through dance music, nightlife and live experiences.

We are looking for a proactive, organised and commercially minded Marketing Manager to oversee event marketing across our brands, ensuring campaigns are delivered effectively and contribute to audience growth, brand awareness and ticket sales.

The Role

As Marketing Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination and execution of marketing campaigns across Next Play Group's portfolio of events, content & brand deals. Working closely with directors, management and the wider marketing team, you will ensure marketing strategies are implemented efficiently and consistently across more than 40 medium - large scale events per year, alongside our weekly student club nights.

You will act as a central point of communication between the teams responsible for delivering each campaign, keeping projects on track, managing marketing budgets and ensuring creative ideas translate into effective promotional activity.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in dance music and event culture who can combine creative thinking with organisation, commercial awareness and a results-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy & Campaign Management: Oversee marketing plans for events across the group's brands, ensuring campaigns are coordinated and delivered in line with agreed objectives.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously, prioritising deadlines, coordinating deliverables and ensuring all activity runs to schedule.
  • Team & Stakeholder Communication: Liaise effectively with directors, management and internal marketing teams to communicate priorities, provide updates and ensure the successful execution of marketing plans.
  • Event Marketing & Promotion: Develop and oversee promotional strategies designed to increase brand awareness, audience engagement and ticket sales.
  • Content Conception: Generate creative content ideas, campaign concepts and promotional angles for the social media team to develop and execute.
  • Budget Management: Manage marketing activity within agreed budgets, allocating resources effectively and monitoring campaign expenditure.
  • Performance Analysis: Review marketing trends, campaign results, engagement and ticket sales to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Brand Development: Ensure marketing activity reflects the identity, audience and positioning of each brand within the group.
  • Market & Audience Awareness: Keep up to date with dance music, nightlife, student culture, social media trends and competitor activity to inform marketing decisions.
  • Campaign Coordination: Ensure promotional assets, content schedules and marketing deliverables are prepared and distributed in line with event timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, campaign performance and the overall effectiveness of event promotion.
  • Mailer & SMS Marketing - Oversight of the rollout of SMS & Mailer marketing campaigns across the company network.
  • Overseeing rep manager / ambassadors - Ensuring rep networks are being built effectively.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Project Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and campaigns at the same time.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise efficiently with directors, management and wider teams.
  • Event Marketing: A good understanding of event promotion, audience engagement, brand awareness and strategies to drive ticket sales.
  • Music Knowledge: A high level of interest in dance music, electronic music and dance music culture, with an understanding of the audiences and communities surrounding the industry.
  • Content Conception: The ability to generate engaging, relevant and creative content ideas for social media and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Budget Management: The ability to work within agreed marketing budgets, monitor expenditure and make commercially sensible decisions.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to assess marketing trends, audience behaviour and sales performance, using insights to improve future campaigns.
  • Time Management: The ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and finding practical solutions in a fast-paced events environment.
  • Content Creation: Although you will not be directly responsible for the delivery of the content, you will be required to have a strong understanding of content on what works and what doesn’t work.

Experience

Previous experience in marketing, event promotion, digital marketing or a similar role is essential. Experience coordinating campaigns, working with creative teams or promoting music events would be particularly beneficial.

A strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing trends is expected. Familiarity with ticketing platforms, paid advertising and campaign analytics would also be an advantage.

What We Offer

  • Salary price range of £30,000 - £34,000 a year.
  • A full-time contract of 37.5 hours per week.
  • The opportunity to work across multiple music and entertainment brands.
  • A dynamic, creative working environment within the dance music and events industry.
  • The opportunity to influence the marketing strategy and promotion of more than 50 large-scale events annually, alongside regular student club nights.
  • The chance to work closely with directors, management and creative teams in a growing events business.
  • Free festival and event tickets across Bristol
  • Progression opportunities with a fast growing company, at the forefront of dance music culture in the UK.

Working Arrangements

This position is office based in Bristol, England, with a contracted working week of 37.5 hours. Due to the nature of the events industry, occasional evening or weekend availability may be required around key events and campaign launches. Any additional hours and related arrangements will be managed in accordance with the employment contract.
