Full job description
The Educate Group are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and dedicated Music Teacher to join the music department at a forward-thinking high school in the area, starting in September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Music Teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people and nurturing their creativity through music. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of music theory and performance, the ability to engage students of all abilities, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages, preparing students for performances and examinations, and encouraging a lifelong appreciation for music. Flexibility, energy, and a collaborative mindset are essential, as you will be working in a busy and vibrant school community.

Responsibilities of a Secondary Teacher:
- Deliver and provide opportunities for students to learn and express themselves.
- Ensure that students are engaged, motivated and on task.
- Manage any behaviour issues that may arise.
- Follow school policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress.
Requirements of a Secondary Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage behaviour effectively
- A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate
- Flexibility and adaptability
Registrations required to be a Secondary Teacher:
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate..
