Full job description

Link Learning is a social enterprise founded to support creative activities in the education system. We provide high-quality music tuition and after-school clubs to schools across the U.K. (www.linklearning.education). We’re a team of musicians and artists who want to inspire original thinking in our pupils and give them the confidence needed to pursue their creative ideas into reality.

We’re looking to expand our team of creative music practitioners who provide piano and guitar tuition in primary schools. Experience is preferred, but we can provide training, resources, and continued professional development to successful applicants. Link Learning takes care of administration and all communication with schools and parents on behalf of tutors so they can concentrate on what's important: the teaching. We also have a range of teaching resources tutors can utilise, especially in relation to composition and improvisation.

This vacancy is for a piano and guitar tutor at a primary school in the ST17 post code. We have between 2-3 hours to get started but there's capacity to build this up further if the successful candidate is interested in doing so. Please note, that we are looking for someone who is able to teach both instruments at an intermediate level.

Successful applicants will:

Be musicians with an interest in composition and improvisation
Have experience providing instrument tuition to children in a school context
Be confident, highly organised, and able to work on your own initiative
Undergo a full, enhanced DBS check, or have one in place (Link Learning takes safeguarding very seriously and a clean check is required for this role in accordance with Safer Recruitment guidelines)
