Visiting Music Teacher – French Horn, and Visiting Music Teacher - Trombone
Required for January 2025
Cheltenham Ladies’ College is one of the world’s leading schools with a strong pioneering heritage. Our aim is to embody excellence, independence and empowerment in the education of young women.
Two inspiring and enthusiastic individuals are required to join our highly successful and thriving Music department as Visiting Music Teachers. We are looking to recruit both a French Horn, and Trombone specialist. The ability to offer tuition for other brass instruments would be advantageous. The successful candidates will be required to teach a range of pupils aged 11-18 years from beginner to Diploma standard.
The anticipated initial schedules are between 2 and 3.75 hours per week for teaching French Horn (to include coaching the Brass Ensemble) and Trombone respectively. Additional hours may be available teaching individual theory lessons.
The successful candidates will be inspirational, kind and would be expected to increase awareness and help promote brass playing within College, working in tandem with relevant full-time staff.
The rate of pay is £34.82 - £36.08 per hour, plus holiday pay at 15.55%.
Our Music Department, has around forty full and part-time staff, this comprises eight full-time musicians and over thirty visiting music staff. The Music Department is dynamic with an outstanding reputation and offers a full and exciting co-curricular programme.
