Full job description

This is a freelance/ self employed part - time tutor role based in the Purley, Kenley and Banstead area.

The successful candidate will need to deliver sessions at schools and nurseries across the Purley, Kenley and Banstead areas, so the ability to easily travel regularly between locations is essential.

You will teach Spanish following the Kidslingo programmes and lesson plans. The classes are very fun, using a combination of songs, stories, drama, games, role play and actions. Lesson plans are provided and presentations are prepared for use in the classroom but you will need to do some preparation yourself.

We are in need of tutors who are free to work afterschool (between 2.45pm-5.30pm) on weekdays. (Some or all of Monday to Friday). This will be mostly to teach Spanish clubs in primary schools though there might be some private classes. This role is term time only.

If the candidate has further availability in the day, there may be the opportunity to teach further classes during the day, either nursery classes or lunch time clubs or curricular classes in schools.

What are we looking for?

- You have a passion for Spanish and are motivated to pass on the benefits of speaking Spanish to your students. Your enthusiasm and love of Spanish will be evident to your students.

- You are confident in your ability to engage with children and are able to manage a classroom with confidence and deal with any challenges in a positive manner. You create a supportive learning environment in the classroom.

-You are hard working and a self starter determined to provide a high quality service to the customer.

- Are confident working alone with limited supervision. You will receive full training and have the support of the boss and other team members but you will need to organise and prepare your classes as well as deliver them yourself.

What are the requirements for the role?

- A high level of spoken and written Spanish and English. You are not required to be a native speaker of either language.

-Use of a PC & printer

- A driving licence and access to or own vehicle. This is preferable but not essential.

-The right to live and work in the UK

- A DBS will be required. This can be applied for on acceptance of the role.

Kidslingo Spanish Croydon is a local business part of Kidslingo Ltd, a national network offering Spanish (and French) classes to children from birth to 11 years old.

We work in schools and early years settings (nurseries and childminders) to provide enrichment activities, extra curricular clubs as well as curriculum teaching. We work across the Croydon and Bromley boroughs covering Caterham, Coulsdon, Banstead, Purley, all of Croydon, Shirley, West Wickham, Beckenham and Bromley.
