We are looking to add experienced SAP Application Developers to our database for future contract opportunities in Birmingham. This is a chance to work on enterprise-scale SAP implementations and integrations, leveraging modern development practices and cloud technologies to support business-critical systems.

This registration invites experienced SAP Application Developers to join future opportunities within enterprise systems development. Roles of this type typically sit within organisations modernising their SAP landscapes—migrating to S/4HANA, building microservices-based integrations, or strengthening their API-first architecture. You could be supporting the design and delivery of solutions that connect SAP systems to broader technology ecosystems, working with contemporary development practices, cloud platforms and distributed architectures.

What you would do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Designing and developing SAP application solutions using ABAP, Java, or .NET technologies
  • Building and supporting APIs and microservices to integrate SAP systems with cloud and on-premise platforms
  • Contributing to SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrations, or system enhancements
  • Developing CI/CD pipelines and supporting automation frameworks for SAP deployments
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries and data pipelines to ensure data quality and system performance
  • Collaborating across cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs
  • Documenting code, architecture decisions and technical specifications using standards such as UML and BPMN
  • Supporting troubleshooting and performance tuning of SAP systems and integrations

What you could bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Proven experience in SAP application development (ABAP, Java, .NET, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or SAP RISE platforms
  • Hands-on experience with APIs and microservices architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation
  • Proficiency in SQL and database design
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms
  • Understanding of distributed systems, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
  • Authorisation to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • SAP Certified Professional qualification in SAP Application Development
  • Experience with Spring Boot, .NET / ASP.NET, React or Python
  • Knowledge of BPMN, data pipelines and data quality frameworks
  • Familiarity with Linux and Bash scripting
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 or quality management standards
