Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Coach to join our Playball team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering fun, structured and engaging lessons that support the growth and development of children through the Playball programme. Playball maintains a high level of professionalism, reliability, and commitment to Playball’s coaching standards.

Details:

  • Saturdays 9:00 - 12:00 from September 2026 during term time only.
  • Coaching the Playball curriculum to ages 2 – 9yrs which requires learning and understanding the Playball methodology.
  • Teaching life skills through sports including football, hockey, tennis, rugby, basketball, cricket and others
  • Engaging with the children and getting to know them during your classes
  • Engaging with parents and providing feedback
  • Doing Assessments and providing a report at the end of the term for each child

What are we looking for in a coach:

  • Reliable, proactive and positive attitude
  • Passion for sports and coaching
  • Patience and desire to work with young children
  • Outgoing personality and a team player.
  • Must be finished with School/ A Levels/College (at least 18 years of age)

Training:

Playball coaches require proper training to provide high-quality coaching to children. The successful candidate can start training during the Summer term and then assist at Holiday camps at a competitive rate.

New coaches training with head office is 11th and 12th September 2026.

Once trained you can assist with holiday camps and parties at a very competitive rate.

Should you be successful, we will assist you in obtaining the following to be a Playball coach:

· Enhanced DBS certificate

· Paediatric First Aid certificate

· Safeguarding certificate

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week
