Level 2 Netball Coach – Evolution Netball

Location: Norton Hill, Midsomer Norton, Somerset
Hours: Friday evenings, 5:30pm–8:30pm + selected weekend fixtures

About the Role

Evolution Netball is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and reliable Level 2 Netball Coach to join our growing coaching programme at our Midsomer Norton Coaching Centre.

We’re looking for someone who loves developing young players and can bring energy, enthusiasm and high-quality coaching to every session.

Our Midsomer Norton programme runs every Friday evening from 5:30pm–8:30pm, working with players from Years 3–10 across three age-group sessions.

Alongside weekly coaching, you will support our teams competing in the Somerset County Netball League in Street, so some flexibility to attend weekend fixtures is required.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold a Level 2 Netball Coaching Qualification – essential
  • Have previous experience coaching and working with children and young people
  • Be available Friday evenings from 5:30pm–8:30pm
  • Have flexibility to attend selected weekend league fixtures in Street
  • Deliver engaging, progressive and age-appropriate coaching sessions
  • Be confident managing groups of young players
  • Bring excellent communication, professionalism and energy to sessions
  • Be passionate about player development and creating a positive sporting environment
  • Be reliable and committed throughout the season

Safeguarding & Compliance

Coaches will be required to hold:

  • Enhanced DBS Check
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Safeguarding Children certification
  • Allergy & Anaphylaxis Awareness Training

If you do not currently hold all of the above compliance requirements, Evolution Netball can support you in getting the appropriate checks and training organised.

Evolution Netball is part of Evolve Sports Coaching, providing opportunities for young players to learn, develop and enjoy netball in a positive and progressive environment.

Our Midsomer Norton Coaching Centre provides weekly development sessions alongside opportunities for players to represent Evolution Netball in competitive league fixtures.

We’re continuing to grow our programme for the 2026/27 season and are looking for another fantastic coach to become part of the Evolution team.
