Overview

Gtek Foods Ltd are primary importers and exporters of significant volumes of high quality meat, poultry & seafood. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Meat Trader to join our team to drive our sales and procurement operations both domestically and internationally. In this role you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality meat products, negotiating favourable deals with suppliers, and building strong relationships with clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the meat trading industry, contributing to our growth and success.

Duties

  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with clients and suppliers to secure the best deals
  • Develop and maintain B2B relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery coordination
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Visit clients and suppliers domestically and abroad

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals effectively
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Valid driving license
  • Knowledge of IT systems for order management, reporting etc
  • Effective time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude towards client needs
  • Familiarity with the meat industry standards, quality control processes, and safety regulations
