Full job description

about KİD

This September, chef Sertaç Dirik and restaurateur David Carter [ SMOKESTAK, manteca, OMA, AGORA ] are opening the doors to their new restaurant in Soho, named KİD.

Following the success at his family’s celebrated ocakbaşı restaurant Mangal II, KİD marks Sertaç’s first restaurant of his own, drawing on his Turkish heritage along with the skills he has refined throughout his time in kitchens across London and Copenhagen.

The menu at KİD reflects the food Sertaç grew up with, humble and ingredient-led dishes, honouring techniques passed down through family, with a focus on seasonality and well sourced British produce. Whilst a Turkish influence runs throughout, the menu emphasises the flavours of Central Anatolia, where Sertac’s family hails from and where many of these dishes find their origin.
