Full job description

Chisou Japanese Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. Our restaurant offers high-end Japanese cuisine, using amazing ingredients and providing friendly helpful service to our guests.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine and culture, as well as experience in managing a team within a busy restaurant environment. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant and ensuring the highest level of service is provided to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising the restaurant team, including front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Assisting the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing duties
  • Ensuring high standards of service are maintained at all times
  • Managing and resolving customer complaints
  • Coordinating reservations and ensuring the restaurant is fully booked during peak hours
  • Ordering supplies and managing inventory levels
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Assisting the Restaurant Manager with administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a Japanese restaurant
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards
  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culture
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Only 4 day working week
