Lil' Nashville is Coming to Bristol

We're bringing Lil' Nashville to Bristol soon, and we're looking for an exceptional Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen from day one.

Inspired by the honky-tonks of Nashville, Tennessee, Lil' Nashville is an independent live music venue and Southern BBQ restaurant where people come together for incredible food, great drinks and unforgettable nights.

You'll build your own kitchen team, shape the culture and play a key role in establishing Lil' Nashville as Bristol's home for authentic Southern BBQ.

About the Role

As Kitchen Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the leadership, performance and day-to-day running of the kitchen. You'll lead a team passionate about producing exceptional Southern BBQ, ensuring every dish is prepared with consistency, quality and pride.

Working closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager, you'll drive food quality, control costs, develop your team and create a kitchen that delivers outstanding food every single service.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading all day-to-day kitchen operations.
  • Training and developing the opening kitchen team.
  • Delivering authentic Southern BBQ to the highest standards every service.
  • Managing food cost, labour, stock and waste to achieve budget targets.
  • Taking ownership of ordering, supplier relationships and deliveries.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness and compliance.
  • Working closely with the front of house team to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Continually improving kitchen systems, organisation and performance.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has experience leading a busy, high-volume kitchen.
  • Has a genuine passion for Southern BBQ, smoking meat and great food.
  • Is a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching and developing people.
  • Is commercially minded with a good understanding of food cost, labour and kitchen performance.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.
  • Takes pride in consistency, organisation and attention to detail.
  • Wants the opportunity to build a kitchen from the ground up.

Experience with commercial smokers is an advantage, but we're equally interested in chefs with a genuine passion for low-and-slow BBQ who are excited to develop their skills.

Why Join Lil' Nashville?

Opening a new venue isn't easy, but it's one of the most rewarding challenges in hospitality.

As an independent business, we trust our managers, value good ideas and give people the opportunity to make a real impact. You'll have the chance to build your own kitchen, develop your own team and help create one of Bristol's most exciting independent restaurants.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • 28 days holiday
  • Staff food on shift
  • Staff discount
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Genuine opportunities to grow with a growing independent business

If you're passionate about great BBQ and ready to build something special from day one, we'd love to hear from you and welcome you to the Lil' Nashville team.
