Join the Team at Chicken & Blues

At Chicken & Blues, we’re all about proper hospitality, great food, and creating a relaxed atmosphere where guests feel genuinely looked after. We’re looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor to become a key part of our Christchurch team.

This role would suit someone who has spent years in hospitality, enjoys leading from the front, and takes pride in running smooth shifts. Whether you’re looking for a fresh challenge or simply want to work with a great team in a busy, well-established restaurant, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As Front of House Supervisor, you’ll support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the restaurant, ensuring every guest receives warm, friendly and efficient service.

You’ll be a calm and dependable leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and setting high standards without needing constant supervision.

Responsibilities

* Lead shifts and support the management team in the smooth operation of the restaurant.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every guest leaves happy.
* Supervise, motivate and support the front of house team throughout service.
* Train new team members and help develop existing staff.
* Handle customer feedback professionally and confidently.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service.
* Assist with opening and closing procedures.
* Support stock control, ordering and cash handling where required.
* Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service.
* Lead by example with a positive, hands-on attitude.

What We’re Looking For

* Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality.
* A genuine passion for looking after people.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Calm under pressure with the ability to make sensible decisions.
* Someone who enjoys mentoring and supporting younger team members.
* Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
* Personal licence or bar experience is advantageous but not essential.

What We Offer

* Competitive pay based on experience.
* Generous staff discount across Chicken & Blues.
* A supportive, friendly working environment.
* Genuine autonomy and trust to run your shifts.
* Opportunities to develop within our growing hospitality group.
* Company pension.
* Paid holiday.
* Free meals on shift.

Why Join Chicken & Blues?

We’re an independent Dorset business that believes hospitality should be warm, welcoming and fun. We value experience, reliability and personality just as much as technical skills.

If you’re someone who enjoys taking pride in your work, building relationships with regular guests, and being part of a close-knit team, we’d love to meet you.

Apply today and help us continue delivering the great hospitality Chicken & Blues is known for.
