We’re looking for passionate chefs to join our growing team at Luigi’s Al Fresco.

We are a family-run independent Italian restaurant with a passion for authentic food, genuine hospitality and creating memorable experiences for our guests. As we prepare to relocate to our brand-new restaurant in Maldon’s High Street, it’s an incredibly exciting time to join us.

Whether you’re an experienced Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or a talented chef looking for your next challenge, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a close-knit team and is excited to grow alongside a business with big plans for the future.

What you’ll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to a consistently high standard.
  • Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team during service.
  • Maintaining excellent food presentation and attention to detail.
  • Supporting with stock control, food preparation and kitchen organisation.
  • Ensuring all food hygiene, health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Keeping your section clean, organised and service-ready.
  • Working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining quality.
  • Contributing ideas and showing enthusiasm for learning and improving.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen (all levels considered).
  • A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • A team player who enjoys working in a friendly, supportive environment.
  • Reliability, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but not essential.
