St. Andrews Hotel is launching a new fine dining Indian restaurant, promising an exceptional culinary journey that blends traditional Indian flavours with modern gastronomy. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team, assisting with both the new fine dining venture and our existing breakfast service.

Position Overview:
The Chef will manage kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and consistency in every dish. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a deep understanding of Indian cuisine with a fine dining approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal menu updates.
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to standards.
  • Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes served.
  • Oversee food preparation, portion control, and kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor kitchen costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Innovate and contribute ideas to elevate the restaurant’s culinary offerings.
  • Support smooth operations during breakfast service

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Chef in Indian fine dining establishments.
  • Strong awareness of trends and seasonality of produce.
  • Expertise in contemporary and traditional Indian cuisine.
  • Proven ability to manage, train and motivate a Kitchen brigade.
  • Exceptional organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Creativity and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • A working knowledge of health and safety, compliance and procedures.
