The Valiant Sailor has recently undergone an exciting refurbishment and we're looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Front of House Team Members to join our growing team.

We're creating a warm, welcoming country pub experience, serving quality food, great drinks and genuine hospitality. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a busy environment and take pride in delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Serving customers behind the bar
  • Taking food and drink orders
  • Delivering food and drinks to tables
  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests
  • Preparing and serving hot drinks
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the pub
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties
  • Handling payments using our till system
  • Supporting colleagues during busy service periods
  • Ensuring responsible alcohol service at all times

What We're Looking ForEssential

  • Friendly, positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Good communication skills

Desirable

  • Previous pub, bar, restaurant or hospitality experience
  • Knowledge of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails
  • Experience carrying food and drink trays
  • Personal Licence holder (not essential)
