Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an service focused Waiter to join our truly talented team to play a key role in the opening of our Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen at DoubleTree by Hilton Bath.

Set on the banks of the River Avon in the beautiful Roman city of Bath this is an amazing opportunity to represent the global Gordon Ramsay restaurant brand.

You’ll work in a busy and hardworking team environment, where you’ll continually learn and develop.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to during food preparation and serving
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, cutlery, and condiments
  • Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
  • Process payments accurately using the POS system and provide guests with their receipts

Skills

  • Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper serving procedures
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is beneficial
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
  • Outstanding guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
  • Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing purposes
  • Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables simultaneously without compromising service quality
  • Upselling techniques to promote menu items effectively and increase sales
  • Ability to work well within a team, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
