We are excited to be opening a brand-new café in the heart of Lincoln and are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and hands-on Café Supervisor to support and lead our team from day one.

Position: Supervisor

Location: Caffe Massarella, Sincil Street, Lincoln

Pay: £13.50 per hour

The Role

As Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the café, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, strong team performance, and smooth business operations.

You will play a key role in building and developing a positive team culture while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, food quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Unit Manager in the day-to-day running of the unit
  • Manage all daily café operations in the manager's absence
  • Train, motivate, and develop team members
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer issues professionally
  • Support in monitoring stock levels and place orders with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, and company procedures
  • Drive sales and profitability through effective management and local marketing initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and customer experience
  • Handle cash management, banking, and daily reporting

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous supervisor experience within a café, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality environment
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
  • A passion for great food, coffee, and customer service
  • Food Safety and Health & Safety knowledge (desirable)
