Kitchen Porter

Rate of Pay - £9 - £13 per hour dependant on age

Welcome to Bainland Lodge Retreats – a number one choice for a luxury and rural short break retreats, which is family run located near Woodhall Spa.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables in designated areas
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Adherence to kitchen opening and closing-down procedures
  • Ensure a ‘clean as you go’ policy is adhered to at all times.
  • To carry out any reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the kitchen.

ABOUT YOU – Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Able to manage own workload in quiet periods

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work between 7am and 11pm, Monday to Sunday. The hours of work will be organised according to a rota which will be issued in advance. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week. As our retreat is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include evenings, weekends, public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year.
