Job Role Duties & Responsibilities:

We are looking for dedicated individuals with a passion for great food, someone who likes to get involved, have a voice, an opinion and shares background and practices with their fellow team members. As CDP, you will be fully accountable for you section allocated to you - cleaning schedule and rotation / deep cleaning / adhere to opening and closing checklists / ordering / HACCP practices - in brief - to be the section leader! You will be judged on your own section end to end with standards, consistency and control. You will be in charge of your own prep, correct labelling, dating, stock rotation while maintaining a clean, safe section at all times - always ready for Head Chef and General Manager daily inspections.

We want you to guide out KPs and junior team members while maintaining portion control following recipes as per SOPs. You will minimize wastes and ensure high levels of both showmanship in your cooking and presentation, and a real team player amongst your colleagues.

You will be provided with a uniform which is expected to be kept cleaned, ironed alongside a perfect grooming standard. You must be able to hold a conversation with other fellow team mates and able to express yourself clearly without hesitation.

Customer Experience

  • Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient delivery of food to all guests at all times
  • Ensure customers receive their food and drinks promptly and correctly
  • Handle customer queries or concerns politely and escalate when required

Product & Menu Knowledge

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Yakinori menu, including allergens and dietary requirements alongside safe cooking practices. Must be aware of using the correct PPE and follow SOP concerning kitchen equipment
  • Communicate clearly with the kitchen and FOH teams to ensure smooth service

Cleanliness & Presentation

  • Maintain excellent cleanliness standards across back of house areas at all times. This includes your own personal grooming standards
  • Ensure your section is fully prepped, cleaned and sanitised as per opening and closing standards
  • Follow opening, mid-shift, and closing cleaning checklists accurately
  • Maintain personal hygiene and uniform standards in line with company policy

Operational Standards

  • Follow company SOPs, food safety, allergen awareness, and health & safety procedures
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow

Teamwork & Attitude

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and management
  • Show flexibility with shifts, tasks, and responsibilities
  • Take feedback positively and apply training consistently
  • Represent the Yakinori brand with professionalism, energy, and pride

Experience - you must have prior experience in a CDP role or above, having previously worked in a professional kitchen. You must have worked in a fast paced environment with a strong understanding in food safety, hygiene and allergen control in England. You must be confident in prep planning, service execution and closing procedures.
