Assistant Manager – The Woodman at Clent
Steakhouse and Cocktail Bar

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to join the team at The Woodman at Clent. Set in a newly reimagined space with a focus on fresh food, premium sharing steaks, expertly crafted drinks, and outstanding service, this is an exciting opportunity to help build something special from the ground up.

About the Role:
As Assistant General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and Deputy manager to deliver smooth day-to-day operations, lead the front-of-house team, and maintain the highest standards of service. You'll be hands-on, guest-focused, and motivated to create memorable experiences for every customer. You'll also help manage staff development, stock control, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the General Manager and Deputy manager in overseeing all restaurant and bar operations
  • Lead and inspire the front-of-house team
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences with a warm and professional approach
  • Assist with team development
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety, and health & safety regulation
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues confidently and quickly

About You:

  • Previous experience as Assistant Manager or Senior Supervisor in a quality restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality
  • High standards in service, presentation, and attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure with great problem-solving abilities
  • Confident with cash handling
  • A team player with a positive, hands-on attitude
