Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant / Fryer to join our busy culinary team. This role involves supporting food preparation and cooking activities in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, a keen eye for food safety, and experience working in a kitchen setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry and contribute to delivering high-quality meals to our customers.

Duties

  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and organising ingredients
  • Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Cook food items according to specified recipes and standards
  • Ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately
  • Support the team during peak hours by preparing ingredients and assisting with meal assembly
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
