Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the food service industry and gaining valuable experience in a professional setting.

Duties

  • Washing, drying, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
  • Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock management
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring all health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times to promote a safe working environment

Skills

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations is desirable
