New Restaurant jobs in Pocklington

A wonderful opportunity is available for the right candidates at the beautiful Lavender Fields Care Village, near Barmby Moor and Pocklington, York. We are seeking activities coordinator / assistant to join our ever-expanding team working here, which comprises of a brand new, 72-bed residential care home, as well as 29 exquisitely designed, purpose-built bungalows with 19 more being built.

The role encompasses day-to-day running of the activities programme within the home, but also liaising with the bungalows residents to with regards to their own set of regular events, and get-togethers.

The successful candidate must be outgoing, able to talk and relate to people, and be an excellent communicator. They must also have an understanding of the Care sector, and the practical considerations that come with it. The role will require helping to plan and deliver daily activities in groups and one-to-one sessions, but also in a manner that appeals to the demographics of those being entertained. We are looking for more than just reminiscing sessions and crafts, though we accept that this will form part of the programme.

There are already regular village meetings, days at the seaside, shopping trips to Pocklington and to retail parks in York, meals out.

However, our care home is not just any care home! It has a pub, restaurant / bistro, beauty salon, gym / wellness centre and entertainment rooms, too. Situated in the home’s ‘Hub’, all of these facilities are available for everybody living on the site to enjoy, as well as being a space to entertain family and guests.
