Whether you already have experience and a Level 3 qualification or are looking to begin a career in children’s residential care, we offer funded training, recognised qualifications, ongoing support and opportunities to progress into senior and management positions.
This is more than a care role. You will become an important and consistent person in a young person’s life, helping them feel safe, develop confidence, build independence and work towards a positive future.

Starting rate:
- Hourly rate: £13.00–£13.25
- Expected annual earnings: £32,550–£33,038
- Overtime rate: £14.00–£14.25

- Overtime rate: £14.75–£15.00
- Further pay increase: 50p per hour
- Total increase from starting rate: 75p per hour
The total service-related increase is equivalent to an additional £1,462.50 per year based on your contracted hours.
Expected annual earnings are calculated using:
- 162.5 contracted hours per month

- £60 for every completed sleep-in
Sleep-ins are paid separately at £60 per completed sleep-in and are an essential requirement of the role.
The exact number of sleep-ins may vary according to the rota and needs of the home. The annual figures therefore represent expected earnings rather than a guaranteed basic salary.
Any authorised overtime above your contracted hours will be paid at your applicable hourly rate plus an additional £1 per hour.

- Clear service-based pay increases after one and two years
- Expected annual earnings rising to £34,013–£34,500 after two years
