Job Introduction

Support Worker

Location: Wednesbury
Pay rate: £14.00 per hour - Weekly and Monthly Pay available!
Shift pattern: 07.30 am- 16.00pm (days)
Contract: 18 Hours Per Week

We are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and dedicated Female Support Worker to support a young person with complex clinical needs. The role involves providing personal care and support with daily living activities, alongside specialist clinical care including ventilation and tracheostomy management, PEG feeding, and clinical observations. You will also support the young person's school attendance, encourage participation in activities and outings, build positive relationships with their family, and work closely with healthcare and education professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Experience & skills of a Support Worker:

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex care needs such as tracheostomy care is required.
  • A caring, compassionate, and patient approach with a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Ability to remain calm and confident in a clinical care environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with the young person, their family, and healthcare professionals.
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality person-centred care.
  • Comfortable supporting clinical interventions, including ventilation, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and monitoring observations following training.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong observation skills and the ability to recognise and report changes in wellbeing.
  • Willingness to attend school settings and support participation in educational and social activities.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills and undertake specialist training.
