Greatdays Travel Group is a leading, family run, tour operator established in 1985. We are seeking an enthusiastic Incoming Tours Consultant to join our team in our new offices in Altrincham.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with a genuine passion and interest for sightseeing in the UK and Ireland. The role involves creating and writing of itineraries and development of our range of customised tour programmes for incoming groups and individuals originating typically from North America. Building relationships and contracting special rates with 4 and 5 star hotels, guides, restaurant attractions and transport companies.

This is a full time role Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5.30pm with frequent UK and Ireland destination / hotel inspection trips.

Are you the right person for the role?

  • Travel Trade and Incoming Tourism experience would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of UK tourist destinations
  • Working in a small team in our Incoming Tours department
  • Positive attitude
  • Passionate about travel
  • Confident driver with full UK clean driving license.
  • Friendly telephone manner and good all round communicator
  • Good IT skills
  • A or B grade GCSE in both English and Mathematics
  • Reside in South Manchester or Cheshire

What will my role look like?

  • Creation and design of UK tour itineraries for incoming tourists.
  • Key customer market is North America
  • Co-ordination of hotel, transport, guide and attraction bookings
  • Costing of tour itineraries
  • Managing the booking process
  • Managing website content
  • Building relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Regular destination and hotel inspection trips
  • Attend FAM trips and exhibitions
  • Input into the marketing strategy
