Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and front house staff to ensure smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the food service and hospitality industry. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. A positive attitude, reliability, and a keen interest in food preparation and kitchen operations are key qualities we value.

Duties

  • Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment
  • Organising storage areas and ensuring stock is stored correctly
  • Supporting chefs with ingredient organisation and retrieval
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
  • Supporting the team during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is a plus
