If you’re already supervising a team in a café, takeaway, deli or restaurant and want to move into management properly, this is for you.

We’re Soul Feet Ltd, an Island of Ireland Subway franchise group with stores across Belfast, Bangor, Newtownards, Dublin, Drogheda and Derry. Our Crescent Link store needs an Assistant Manager to work alongside the Store Manager and help run the shop day to day.

What you’ll actually be doing

  • Running shifts: making sure the team is set up, the store’s ready and customers get served quickly and properly
  • Training and coaching new starters, and helping pick who joins the team
  • Handling the till, cash-ups, stock counts and deliveries
  • Keeping food safety and store standards where they should be
  • Stepping in to run the store when the Store Manager is off
  • Getting stuck in on the line when it’s busy (we all do)

What we’re looking for

  • At least a year’s experience supervising or leading shifts in food, hospitality or retail
  • Someone people like working for: calm under pressure, fair, and able to have the awkward conversations
  • Good with numbers: cash, stock, rotas
  • Happy to work evenings and weekends on an agreed rota
  • Subway experience is a bonus, but you don’t need it, because we’ll train you

The shifts
Shifts are up to 8 hours, on a rota with a mix of openings and closings and shared weekends, because we know everyone likes a weekend off.
