Biomedical Scientist

Grade: Band 6

Trust: Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

Ward: Haematology and Blood Transfusion

Shift Patterns: Various shifts available

What you can add:

  • Competence and experience in BMS transfer, embedding, microtomy skills, special stains techniques, frozen sections and Immunohistochemistry
  • Experience of operating, troubleshooting and maintaining complex laboratory equipment.
  • Good understanding of the Speciality required
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements within the scope of practice
  • Basic IT knowledge

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist
  • BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (IBMS approved) or approved alternative science degree plus post graduate certificate in Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years post registration laboratory training
  • IBMS Specialist Diploma in Speciality
