Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Primary Care

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our primary care team in Birmingham on a locum basis.

Essential experience and skills:

⁠ ⁠Primary care / GP practice experience

⁠ ⁠Phlebotomy (blood taking)

⁠ ⁠ECG recording

⁠ ⁠NHS Health Checks

⁠ ⁠Diabetes reviews and monitoring

⁠ ⁠Asthma reviews and inhaler technique support

⁠ ⁠Blood pressure monitoring

⁠ ⁠Height, weight and BMI assessments

⁠ ⁠New patient health checks

⁠ ⁠Basic clinical observations and patient assessments

⁠ ⁠Accurate clinical record keeping

Requirements:

⁠ ⁠Previous experience working as an HCA within a GP practice or primary care setting

⁠ ⁠Excellent communication and patient care skills

⁠ ⁠Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

⁠ ⁠Flexible and reliable approach to work
