Full job description

We are busy independent pharmacy located in Eltham, South East London. The local community and healthcare is at the heart of everything we do and we are committed to ensuring we meet the healthcare needs of the local community.

We offer an array of NHS and private services such as flu vaccinations, travel clinics, ear wax removals and much more.

We are looking for a highly motivated enthusiastic pharmacy assistant to join our growing team and bring new ideas to ensure patient needs are being met.

Duties include:

Meeting and greeting patients, handing out prescriptions.

Dispensing NHS and private prescriptions using dispensing programmes such as proscript.

Serving patients and providing healthcare advice after completion of relevant training.

Selling of pharmacy medication and general sales medication under supervision of a pharmacist.

Conduction of an annual NHS pharmacy audits.

To operate efficient stock control appropriate to the needs of the pharmacy with the objective of ensuring continuity of supply for patients and minimising wastage through out of date stock

Checking medication and appliances received and recording batch numbers/expiry date/price.

To ensure that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and to maintain a temperature control record

Essential:

Prior dispensing experiencing

Good communication skills

Leadership skills

Desirable:

Can use proscript

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £10.42-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
