Medical Receptionist – GP Surgery (EMIS Web Experience Required)

Location: SK15 Stalybridge
Contract Type: Temporary (Locum)
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible shifts – mornings, evenings, or full days)
Rate: £16.47 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist with recent EMIS Web experience to support GP surgeries. This is a great opportunity to work flexibly while gaining valuable experience in a primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front desk duties including patient check-ins and appointment scheduling
  • Handling telephone and face-to-face enquiries from patients and healthcare professionals
  • Processing prescriptions and updating patient records on EMIS Web
  • Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including referrals and test results
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times

Requirements:

  • Recent EMIS Web experience is essential
  • Previous experience working in a GP Surgery or Primary Care setting
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • All required documents must be submitted within 24 hours
