Role Description: A twin centre role. This is a full-time role from 9am-5pm for a Receptionist and Practice Assistant based at the Pantiles Eye Centre and the Tunbridge Wells Diagnostic and Surgical Centre. These two locations are within a 10min drive from each other so the person needs to have a car and be able to drive between the two practices. Travel expenses will be paid.
The Receptionist will be required to work at the Pantiles Eye Centre based at TN2 5FQ on Mondays and Tuesdays.
On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays the role will be based at the Tunbridge Wells Diagnostic and Surgical Centre in Southborough, TN4 0NA, and will include reception duties as well as the chance to learn how to perform diagnostics and scans and being involved in some theatre and surgical support tasks, working alongside scrub nurses and renown surgeons.
Responsibilities include answering and making calls to patients, meet and greet, office management, stock takes and acting as a clinical assistant.
You will be dealing with NHS and private patients at both locations.
Occasionally you may be requested to travel to another diagnostic and surgical location in Headcorn, TN27 9SA to offer holiday cover in the same capacity.
The ability to drive and own a car is essential for this role.
Skillset
- You will possess strong skills in administration
- You will have a great phone manner
- Have good written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to deal with confidential information
- Show great attention to detail
- Portray a proactive attitude while being open to new challenges
- Have demonstrated experience in Customer Management and providing high levels of customer service
- Previous experience in ophthalmology or a related healthcare field would be advantageous
- Have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and in team environments
- Display an empathy-driven approach with a commitment to high-quality care
- Be target driven and open to achieving set goals
- Display strong skills in IT to include Excel and use of Microsoft;
